AN IDEA BORN FROM A CHALLENGE

“Chandelier Prototyping”

The concept of Komorebi was born from a very specific client request: to create a luminous element that is unique, dynamic, and visually striking, capable of enhancing and illuminating the double-height space connecting the two levels of their extraordinary showroom. We embraced the challenge by designing a sculptural structure composed of light bars and linear profiles, arranged to open harmoniously around a central tubular element, the visual and functional focal point of the entire system.

The composition achieves a balance between lightness and stage presence, giving rise to a luminous form that changes perception depending on the viewpoint and the intensity of the light desired.

DESIGN AND MATERIALS: THE DIALOGUE BETWEEN LIGHT AND MATTER

Every chromatic and material choice is born from harmony with the architectural context:

• Matte black defines the base of the project, imparting elegance, depth, and a discreet yet authoritative presence within the space.
• Brushed brass, on the other hand, introduces a warm and sophisticated accent, capable of capturing light and reflecting soft highlights that enrich the overall perception.
• Frosted plexiglass completes the composition with a sense of lightness and translucency: used for the heads of the bars with focused LEDs, it pairs seamlessly with the adjustable, linear diffused light.

The final result is a coherent and refined ensemble, where material contrasts and meticulous attention to detail merge into a harmonious visual language.

Komorebi inhabits a rectangular, double-height space: for this reason, it was designed to be admired from every vantage point, whether from the ground floor, the side staircase, or the upper level. Each bar has been carefully oriented to ensure visual comfort and uniform illumination, with a warm color temperature of 2700K that enhances materials and textures, supported by a high color rendering index (CRI>90).

TECHNOLOGY AND CONSTRUCTION PRECISION

We developed a 3D simulation model to analyze every construction detail, from the movement mechanisms of the bars to the assembly systems. Laser-cut components, CNC-turned elements, 3D-printed parts, and powder-coated finishes come together in a perfect balance of craftsmanship and innovation. The modular system and snap-fit connectors make the chandelier easy to transport and assemble on site.

Komorebi combines aesthetics and functionality: thanks to the rotation mechanism of the horizontal and vertical bars, it is possible to create a variety of lighting scenarios. Maintenance is minimal, while customization is limitless, countless combinations of finishes and configurations allow it to adapt to any requirement. The light fills the space with both presence and subtlety, creating a welcoming and harmonious atmosphere that captivates all who experience it.

Every phase of the project, from concept to prototype, from functional testing to installation, has been meticulously curated to ensure a product of the highest quality. The final result? A custom, tailor-made lamp born from a precise brief, transformed into a luminous work that makes an idea tangible and allows it to be shared with others: KOMOREBI.
