Vivosa Apulia Resort harmoniously combines nature, architecture, and hospitality. Located within the Ugento Coastal Natural Park and built with locally sourced tuff stone, the resort reflects the authentic character of Salento through a contemporary architectural design closely connected to the region, its materials, and its cultural heritage.
Developed in collaboration with Lorenzo Bellini Atelier, the lighting design project supported the renovation of the spaces by enhancing their architecture, materials, and identity. Through a tailored lighting approach, the design highlights the verticality of the interiors, the arched niches inspired by traditional Apulian farmhouses, and key architectural details, creating a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the character of the resort.

Light serves not only a functional purpose but also plays a key role in shaping the atmosphere of the interiors. The niches are enhanced through a balanced combination of direct and indirect lighting, emphasizing their depth and highlighting the texture of the tuff stone and other local materials. The result is a welcoming environment with a discreet lighting scheme seamlessly integrated into the architecture.
The entire lighting concept draws inspiration from the local landscape, reflecting both its rural and coastal character. The lighting has been designed to be soft, layered, and non-intrusive, creating comfortable and welcoming spaces. Each light source is part of a coordinated system aimed at ensuring visual comfort, enhancing the architecture, and delivering an experience that is consistent with the identity of the resort.
