Light enhances the historic architecture, supporting the Ex Configliachi Institute’s transformation into a contemporary cultural space.

Each lighting element is designed to integrate into the space and enhance its identity.

Through light, spaces gain depth, character and a new sense of perception.

The lighting design is based on the CANAL 1000/2000/3000 suspended system, featuring a prismatic cover, CRI >90, 3000K colour temperature and DALI control. The suspended luminaires create a distinctive lighting feature that complements the architecture without overpowering it. Their linear form helps organise the spaces and define functional areas, while the diffused, controlled light creates a balanced and comfortable atmosphere.

Alongside the suspended luminaires, the project’s flexibility is ensured by the MYLINE SYSTEM, featuring ML1 and ML5 48V tracks. This system allows different luminaires to be integrated and the lighting layout to be adjusted over time to meet the changing needs of each space. The tracks are fitted with JHON 60 adjustable spotlights, 18W, CRI >95, 36° beam angle, 3000K, with DALI control, selected to provide precise, controlled lighting. The adjustable projectors direct light onto architectural features, surfaces and functional areas, creating a flexible lighting scheme that can be easily adapted.

A combination of lighting solutions designed to meet the needs of the space without compromising on aesthetics.

In the double-height stairwell, we introduced suspended LED rings in different wattages, with 3000K colour temperature, DALI control, and direct or direct/indirect light emission. Their soft, welcoming shapes highlight the architecture across both levels. The circular forms break up the linear lighting layout and add rhythm to the composition, creating a dialogue between straight lines and curved geometries. A functional element that also becomes an architectural feature.

The loggia and portico are enhanced by linear profiles rated at 19 W/m, CRI >90, 3000K and IP66, complementing the architecture while ensuring visual and lighting continuity in the outdoor spaces.
A lighting concept that complements the architecture and supports its transformation.
